Image Vacuum Cleaner:

For an unusual museum he assembled out of the abandoned objects associated with the memories of ordinary people, Orhan Pamuk writes of the vast amount of personal photographic paraphernalia that flowed into the flea markets of Istanbul from the 70's on into the 90's. The big optic shown here however, is of a different order and far more universal in scope. It is instead a photographic vacuum cleaner of history, designed to record a vast panorama of urban life from the perspective of an undisclosed number of decades.
